IntroductIon
Project Brief: For this project, I was asked to design a brand or company-specific takeaway meal package out of cardboard to contain three chosen food components.
The DesIgn
"I decided to go with Churros, chocolate dip, and coffee. The main challenges were containing all three elements while keeping them hot, fresh, and hygienic while still maintaining a fast and safe user experience. Another focus was keeping the preparation process fast and using as little material as possible."
DesIgn Process & Past Prototypes
My first cardboard prototype for this project was this structural study, which failed. Also, this configuration proved to be too bulky and slow to pack.
Prototypes from later weeks were mainly to try different interlocking techniques and tolerances. Here are the last 10 prototypes before the final design.
